Do not love the world or the things of the world. If
someone loves the world, then the love of the Father is not
in him; because all the things of the world - the desires
of the old nature, the desires of the eyes, and the
pretensions of life - are not from the Father but from the
world. And the world is passing away, along with it’s
desires. But whoever does God’s will remains forever.

1 John 1:15-17

Sometimes it’s hard to fathom that this world is not going to last forever. We get so
caught up in our daily routines that we forget that the end of the world is coming.
The only thing that matters is; are we serving God? Are we in the center of God’s
will? These are uncomfortable questions, but answer them anyway.
To quote C.S. Lewis, “Christ said it was difficult for ‘the rich’ to enter the kingdom of
heaven, referring, no doubt, to ‘riches’ in the ordinary sense-good fortune, health,
popularity, and all the things one wants to have. All these things tend-just as money
tends-to make you feel independent of God, because if you have them you are
happy already and contented in this life. You don’t want to turn away to anything
more, and so you try to rest in a shadowy happiness as if it could last for ever. But
God wants to give you a real and eternal happiness. Consequently He may have to
take all these ‘riches’ away from you: if He doesn’t, you will go on relying on them.”
Do not rely on the world. Since the world and it’s desires are passing away, store
up your treasure in heaven, and pray that God helps you do His will. Let your heart’
s desire be to serve God.

  Exciting News!

Eye2Sky is going to Israel this November!!!

Eye2Sky is currently raising funds to take their music to the Holy Land on a 10-day trip to
the middle east. They are going to be traveling with ‘Bezalel School of International Dance
and Pageantry,’ as they take the production of “Redeemed: The Story of Ruth and Boaz” A
play that combines acting and dancing to tell a story.

They are scheduled to play at least five times in Israel, in the Messianic communities. The
band will be the pre-show music before the play begins. This is an exciting opportunity to
spread the love of Jesus to the nation of Israel. Please keep the band and the members of
Bezalel in your prayers, as they embark on this new adventure.

Keep an eye on the band’s website for updates, stories and pics from their trip to Israel.

If you would like to send a donation to Eye2Sky for their trip, send it to:
201 Badger Rd, Madisonville, TN 37354

Just make checks out to Eye2Sky… Thank you for your prayers and support!

On The Road With Eye2Sky

Eye2Sky had a very, very, busy playing schedule this past
month. Eye2Sky played every weekend and every Tuesday in
July. After such a crazy month, Eye2Sky has taken a little break
this August. They still have a few playing dates, but they have
mostly just been practicing and working on recording a few
songs. They should have some new songs recorded for your
listening pleasure soon.

Passion Play Update

The Passion Play in the Smokies has
found a location, and the band will be
playing the pre-show music before the play
begins, as always. The play is located right
across from Dollywood Splash Country in
Pigeon Forge, TN. A little bit of a longer haul,
but a good location. For more info, check
out the Passion Play’s facebook page.
